Attempting to make the back garden look better, added some fresh soil and plants, a few grasses, and flowering plants - as well as a small fence to discourage the dog as he was the biggest reason the plants were not surviving. He would either trample them or pee on them.
We will see how these plants survive.
New plants, Northern Oats, Calamagrostis acutiflora 'Avalanche' Reed Grass, Kitten Grass, Red Valerian 'Coccineus' (Centranthus ruber), Corrie's Gold Gaura, Achillea 'Laura' Yarrow and a Rose Campion.
I put some pinks and grape hyacinths that I had in a planter in the ground as well, and divided some Carex from the front.
Also a few transplants of hosta and daylillies and a sundrop from a friends garden.

A new yarrow that I am hoping the dog doesn't kill.
