




Front of the house summer 2007 - a work in progress. We do not have any pictures of the front of the house when we moved in in September 2006. Only real changes were that the standard hydrangea was moved from right beside the driveway where it was tied up by the previous owner so it would not interfere with the walkway. This spring a rhododenden Nova Zembla(red) was added, a boxwood was moved from where it was wedged beside the hot tub and the garage door. It will be touch and go to see if it will survive. Campanula, an Erica and a Hellebore were added to the small garden lining the walkway and some snapdragons added as filler. If the Hellebore survives more will be added.
The garden space under the trees was completely filled in with rocks - about 3-5 inches thick they are being removed so that shade tolerate plants can be added, I will attempt a woodland type garden.
Along the driveway, beside the fence that replaces the scraggly old cedars that were planted there I will plant a vine - Pyracantha Yukon Belle.
